  5. liked it

I loved the original characters Elen Caldecott writes about and I could imagine the manor perfectly. But there was something lacking… I am currently reading another one of her books and I enjoy it alot more!

  6. The Mystery Of Wickworth Manor is a book full of surprises. Characters change throughout the story e.g. jerk to kind, shy to adventurous. Each sentence urged me to read more as excitement grew bigger during the story. At some points I felt scared especially towards the end. My favourite character was Paige because she was a very outgoing person who didn’t mind getting into serious trouble. I think that any one who is interested in mystery or adventure would love to read this intriguing book.

I had a mixed feeling about this book was sad in some places and happy and enjoyable in others. Also I felt sorry for Curtis when Paige was being big-headed. I think this book would appeal to people younger than me (10-11) as the story line didn’t fit my style of reading or my character in real life. I would rate this book a 6 out of 10 because it was an amazing storyline but other parts of the story let it down also if there was different characters in the book it would make a big difference.
