Ever since his family got rich and moved to a wealthy Long Island neighbourhood, Tony Miglione’s life has been turned upside down. For starters, there’s his new friend, Joel – who seems the perfect boy next door, but shoplifts in secret. Then there’s Joel’s sixteen-year-old sister, Lisa, and her disturbingly attractive ways. Grandma won’t come down from her bedroom, and on top of all that, Tony has a whole bunch of questions about growing up which nobody seems to be answering. Why couldn’t life just have stayed the same?
